Carmelita McGrath's second collection of fiction explores the psychic and emotional realm of everyday life. Travelling from a 1930s Newfoundland outport to present day St. John's, these fourteen stories, bringing to life the world of ordinary girls and women who come to know that "redemption is something we reach for, but don't get.
