A former pre-school teacher, Alice Walsh grew up in northern Newfoundland and now lives in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Her published work includes six books for children, all of which have been nominated for - or won - literary awards. They include Uncle Farley's False Teeth (Annick Press) and A Black Sky With Crows (Red Deer Press). She has a Master's degree in children's literature from Acadia University.
