MARK CALLANAN

Mark Callanan was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University, he lived and worked in Leeds, England. His poetry has appeared in various journals across Canada and in the United Kingdom and was recently anthologized in Breathing Fire 2: Canada’s New Poets, edited by Patrick Lane and Lorna Crozier. Mark is a regular book reviewer for The Independent, as well as an occasional reviewer for Books in Canada, Atlantic Books Today and The Newfoundland Quarterly. He lives in Rocky Harbour on the west coast of Newfoundland.
